Hendra Himawan


Hendra Himawan, M.Sn, independent curator that has been working with many young artists throughout Yogyakarta. Focusing on project basis artworks, he is currently creating an art space for the public to practice alternative art. He has been affiliated with artists’ communities, event organizers, galleries and artists management. He was one the in-house curator for Sangkring Art Space (SAS) for two years. As of now, he is working as a freelance, creating proposal, researches, forums and discussions as well as independent art projects for the young artists in Yogyakarta. Weekly Art Sharing (WASH) Yogyakarta is one of the forums that Hendra organized as a platform for his creative artistic works nowadays. Hendra Himawan is currently living and working in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.



Shaika Nur Nadwah

Shaika Nur Nadwah Sharifuddin is a freelancer from UiTM Seri Iskandar in the Business Administration field of study majoring in Marketing and Management that used to do a research on the art management specialising in the management of the exhibition of an art gallery. Based on her exposure and experiences in handling exhibitions from creative and furniture industries, she is keen to contribute and share all the knowledge she has gained through out the journey of her involvement directly and indirectly in the business. This can be reflected with her involvement in the special project by HOM Art Trans revolving around the artist as a project manager assigned and trusted by the director of the gallery itself, Bayu utomo Radjikin. In the future, she is aiming to involve actively in the art industry and able to contribute more in managerial aspect that is currently lacking in the industry.



Amir Amin

A Perakian who born in 1991, Muhammad Amir Amin graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with B.A (Hons) in Fine Art, majoring in painting. He is an artist, freelance curator and art writer. He is the founder of ARTO Movement; a multidisciplinary art collective that is focusing on the diversity of Malaysian and international art.

Art curatorial and management aspect are what Amir is very passionate about. This can be seen by the previous exhibition that he has been involved including Takik I (2011), Takik II (2012), MEA Awards (2014), Endevour (2014) and Four Corners (2015). He started to develop his managerial skill when he was in UiTM Melaka, during circa 2010-2014 where he organized and co-curated the “Kala Warna Bertatih” exhibition at Galeri Seni FSSR. Not only that, he also has co-organized several exhibitions and events as well and the latest one is called “DIA;SPORA” a site-specific exhibition held in conjunction with Festival Idearaya 2015 at Shah Alam, Selangor. Besides that, he also co-curated Platform 2: Artist, Time and Space at Galeri Chandan.

To date, Amir has been exhibited in Empowering the Youth; Art & Photography Exhibition, #ART4ManekUrai, Urban Art III and Ilham 9 as well as wrote for Figure Out, Platform 2; Artist, Time & Space, DIA;SPORA and Berdiri. By the end of November 2015, Amir was given a chance to organize his first solo exhibition entitled Refleksi oleh Amir Amin at Café Studio Damansara.



Amar Shahhid

Amar Shahid is a graduate of Fine Arts (UiTM) from Malaysia. He had been involved in Malaysian art scene by way of exhibition and curation since 2008, with strong practice in art writing and criticism aside from producing his own works. His literature and criticism focuses on the linguistic nature in arts, as well their Being as a form of visual language. These criticisms were also put to test in his works, where he explores the possibilities and shortcomings of visual languages. His approach on art disciplines are varied and does not only concerns conventional fine art mediums, as can be seen in his undergraduate programming works as well as endeavour into the music as an inclusive aesthetic.

His current practice shuttles between his studio in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia National University (UKM) in Bangi, where he also teaches sculpture and wind orchestra as well as manage the university’s Sculpture and Brass Band societies. Amar is also the founder and Band leader of PUNKARAGAM, an independent wind orchestra troupe, based in Bangi and Klang Valley.


Tan Hui Koon

Tan Hui Koon, has emerge her art making practice into curatorial practice. She is a curator in National Visual Arts Gallery Malaysia. In the past 5 years, She lead Education Department, creating substance art education programs, publications and proposing strategies on engaging with publics through educational interactive exhibitions. Latest community project is Gerakan Seni 2015 (Art On The Move). Hui Koon also research, probing and re-examining the positions of Malaysia cross disciplinary artist collectives's particular events especially within the Malaysia's social and political context since 1970s - 2000s. She is now curating Mapping: Malaysia Modern Art History 1920-1970 permenant exhibition of National Visual Arts Gallery.
